I’ve been in business in different roles continuously since 1971. Along the years my experiences have accumulated in management positions in various companies and as a business consultant with about 200 client organisations. You can find a summary of my professional career in Vesa’s CV in English.
Besides my full-day jobs I have been written diffent articles, columns or most recently blogs at least once a month since 1974. At the moment in keep a Finnish blog at the locally leading IT weekly Tietoviikko magazine and their CIO-blog .

Johtaja: ole IT-strategi (Excecutive: be an IT Strategist) was published in 2008 and is still available. Main aim in this book is to encourage Business Excecutives to take lead also in utilising IT at a strategic level – and thus be themselves the real IT Strategists. There is a summary of best known methodologies, my own framework for letting business management formulate their perticular IT Strategy as a project and also some ideas of self development as an IT Strategist.
IT ja parempi bisnes (IT and Better Business) was published in April 2010. This book is focused on finding the approaches to transform any businesses for better using IT. There is a summary of what kind of IT systems are available for different functions or purposes, what is important when utilizing each system type and what typically can go wrong.
Finally there is a framework on how to establish a successful strategy-driven business transformation program by organizing a Program Leadership Team, managing all stakeholders and running the program with rigorous project management practices. This part also includes some forms, calculation spreadsheets and slide templates in electronic form. These are available as a Management Toolkit.
