On Sunday morning 28.7.2012 Helsinki was foggy, and several blue tits were eating in a pine by our house.
These little birds seem to habit our home surroundings, but just this time immediately after waking up, their fast movements in the tips of new annual growth in branches got my attention. They quickly from branch to branch, swinging many times upside down. Balance and flight capabilities really are right with these little birds – you do not need to try and find hummingbirds in Americas to manifest these 🙂
This individual seems to be a female, as the tip of the head or the back are not especially blue. Could also be a young bird, as the blue tends to intensify with age.
